MUS 1229A - Applied Music – Percussion

Credits: 2 hrs
In this course attention is given to wrist action, proper holding of sticks, and coverage of basic rudiments. Instruments studied are snare drum, timpani, bells, and the xylophone. Emphasis is placed on intense study of general problems of performance and the development of a performance repertoire. Prerequisite(s): Consent of instructor.
