SPH 3320 - Intercultural Communication: Oral Communicaton Across Cultural Boundaries Credits: 3 hrs This course serves as an introduction to the field of intercultural communication by examining the practical application of theory and research. The goal of this course is for students to develop an understanding of the communication process across cultural boundaries in a variety of contexts. The course focuses on challenges and issues important to the understanding of people of different racial, ethnic, national, and other cultural backgrounds in the US and abroad. This course is the study of the relationship between culture and communication and includes problems in the practice of intercultural communication.
