BIO 4305 - Integrative Metabolism Credits: 3 hrs. The contextual focus of the course will be the complex relationships governing metabolism on a whole-animal level, with a focus on the integration of molecular, cellular and organ-level regulation. General topics include relationshps between hormones and metabolism, cellular nutrient sensing and signaling, relationships between transcription and metabolism, metabolic measurements and meabolic disorders. Students will learn by engaging the material through published research. Pre-requisite(s): C- or better in BIO 1313 - General Biology I and BIO 1314 - General Biology II Latest Update(s) Approved by Academic Standards and Curriculum: September 2021
