ALS 2315 - Gender Diff in Language Use Credits: 3 hrs The course will introduce students to the study of thr relationship between language as used by women and language as used by men as well as the cultural/social expectations of such use. Students will be introduced to investigation to investigate tools they need in order to be able to conduct their independent exploration of problematic areas, such as, language power and women’s status, female vs. male style in communication and interaction and interaction, language and genders, promotion of gender equality in language use, and ungenderized language.
