CLS 2405 - Foundations of Clinical Chemistry Credits: 4 hrs The course is a foundational clinical chemistry course recommended for clinical laboratory science students or other health related majors. This course addresses clinical aspects of organic molecules, organic chemical reactions, functional groups, biochemistry, biochemical reactions, carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, metabolic pathways and energy production, and the use of analytical instrumentation for clinical chemistry analytes. Pre-requisite(s): CHE 1311 - General Chemistry for Health Sciences Majors , CHE 1111 - General Chemistry for Health Sciences Majors Laboratory , CHE 1313 - General Chemistry I and CHE 1113 - General Chemistry I Laboratory
