NUR 3202 - Child Health Nursing Practicum

Credits: 2 hrs
This clinical course focuses on nursing and interprofessional collaborative practice for the restoration and maintenance of health in children in various stages of development within their families and the broader social contexts in which children grow and develop. Emphasis is placed on the incorporation of evidence-informed practice and the application of the nursing process and clinical judgement measurement model to identify physiologic, psychosocial, educational, and cultural needs of child and adolescent patients and their families in order to provide family-centered nursing care. Clinical experiences are coordinated in a variety of settings which offer students the opportunity to engage with clients and interact with interprofessional team. 
Pre-requisite(s):  NUR 3314 - Clinical Nursing Foundations ,NUR 3316 - Pharmacology for Nurses NUR 3312 - Health Assessment , & Admission to upper division
