CSC 2315 - Applied Data Science Credits: 3 hrs This interdisciplinary course will provide students with the knowledge of the principles, concepts, and techniques involved in applied data analytics and will let them explore a wide range of statistical and programming tools most commonly used to process, analyze, and visualize complex data from different sources. Additionally, students will acquire knowledge on data privacy and security, and on the ethical implications of the use of data and technology. Students taking this course will create a hands-on project demonstrating their understanding of applied data science techniques and tools in social good.
