BIO 3366 - Genetics

Credits: 3 hrs.
This course examines basic concepts in classical and molecular genetics. the classical portion covers chromosomes, principles of inheritance, mapping and linkage. The molecular portion covers the structure and function of DNA, the mechanisms of gene expression, and introduces recombinant DNA technology.  Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in 1) MAT 1311 and 2) both BIO 2301 and either BIO 1315 or BIO 2302 or BIO 2310.
