The certificate program is open only to individuals who have already completed a B.S. or B.A. degree. This program is designed for those wishing to make a career change to become computer programmers. Students completing this program will be qualified as entry-level programmers and will also satisfy minimum requirements for admission to graduate programs in computer science.
For the convenience of students in this program, all courses are scheduled during the evenings. Two (2) years are typically required to complete this program.

The student must complete the following courses with a grade of C or better:
To continue in the Certificate Program
Students must pass CSC 3360 and CSC 3361 with an average grade of “B” or better, and pass a programming proficiency examination. Students with no prior computer experience should enroll in CSC 1306—The Computer and Its Use I prior to enrolling in the certificate program. |
